Muse #99 + NBUS #3 + SSS Anything Goes

Today was our first day back to the 6 AM alarm and it wasn't easy, but it was kind of nice to have a quiet, clean house and spend a little time in the office. The always fun Darnell is having another NBUS Challenge, and I have a great NBUS Simon Says Stamp confetti die, and there is still time to enter the SSS Wednesday Challenge Blog where Anything Goes, and the die looks very similar to the one Vicki used for her Muse #99 inspiration card, so this card was truly inspired by all three challenges.

I cut the die from a white panel, stamped the sentiment and then popped it up on the red card base.

It looked a little unfinished, so I started poking around my bits & pieces finding a mirrored star that fit in the center circle nicely. It still didn't look quite right until the red felt circle was place under it and a trio of rainstones scattered among the open circles.

You can find the challenge details and join in the fun by following these links.

I really hope the New Year has been off to a great start for you and thanks for stopping by,

Runway Inspired Challenge #74

Happy New Year!!

I'm popping in with a quick post, just a few hours before the Runway Inspired Challenge #74 is closing.

I loved the watercolor look of the print on this dress, so masked off a square panel to watercolor in yellows and orange before adding a Memory Box die on top.

The die is cut twice, once in white and again in red to get the thin frame echoing the belt of the dress.

We had a wonderful New Year's celebration here, starting with waking up to a little snow on Palomar Mountain New Year's Eve morning.

There was only frost at our house and I'm looking forward to temperatures warming up significantly next week.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie

2014 Year in Review

I haven't had as much time as I'd like to create over the holidays and am supposed to be figuring out what to wear for New Year's Eve, but somehow have ended up here taking a look back at some of the cards I've posted this year.

The biggest creative thrill this year was winning the World Card Making Day

There is no question stencils and embossing pastes have been my favorite trends this year and I can't wait to see what the next year brings. As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your comments and feedback, I really appreciate each and every one.

Now I really must figure out what I am wearing tomorrow night. After 17 years of family centered New Year's Eve celebrations, Stefan and I are heading out to a party and my social anxiety is building because I only know one other couple that will be there. Looking to my friend for guidance, she asked if I'd ever seen any of the Real Housewives shows. Hahaha, do you think it is too late to make a hair & make-up appointment somewhere?

Thanks for stopping by and see you next year!
