Freshly Made Sketches 400 Anniversary Celebration!

We have had so much fun celebrating the 400th sketch at Freshly Made Sketches all month long!

There are even more reasons to play along with this fabulous sketch as Jennifer Timko has gathered a number of generous sponsors to help us celebrate and prizes will be randomly awarded to cards in the gallery.

I can't seem to leave my Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes alone and was playing with an MFT sun ray stencil when this idea came together. A square is die cut from the center of the inked panel and adhered to the card base. The first part of the sentiment is stamped and then foam adhesive added to create the shaker box. A piece of transparency covers the opening of the large panel and closes the microbeads and sequins in place. The MFT Sunshine die is cut from an inked piece of scrap paper and layer with a black die cut before being adhered in place.

Head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see a list of all the sponsors this week and the terrific Clean Team cards!

Freshly Made Sketches 400 Celebration - Week 3

It is Week 3 of our month long Anniversary Celebration at Freshly Made Sketches! This week it is sketch 300 that is once again being used to inspire us.

I watercolored a few pieces of scrap watercolor paper to get the pink for the ice cream, brown for the cone and blue background panels. The Hero Arts cone die cut was embossed and a sprinkle of course glitter sugar added to the edge of the ice cream. These pieces were adhered to a large circle embossed panel before the Lawn Fawn sentiment was added.

I hope you will continue to join in our anniversary celebration and play along!

CASology Week 350: WATER

Welcome to Week 350 at CASology!

There are so many directions to go with out cue word this week that I had a hard time narrowing it down. As I will be sitting on the beach or floating in the sea when this card posts, in the end pulled out Paper Smooches Get Outta Town for this great sentiment.

The tropical drink is stamped and masked first, then the wave lightly inked in and the sentiment added.

The design team has fabulous cards for you this week!

Freshly Made Sketches 400 Celebration Week 2

The Anniversary Celebration for Freshly Made Sketches is going on all month and for Week 2 we are revisiting the sketch for Freshly Made Sketches 200!

I used a Poppystamps Snowflake Ribbon die to divide my panel, insetting a piece of snowflake patterned paper in the bottom portion. The top layer of the snowflake is only adhered in the center, allowing the red sentiment tag to be attached with silver thread.

We loved your cards last week and hope you will continue to celebrate with us this week!

Freshly Made Sketches #400!!!!

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches!!!!

Celebrating sketch #400 is huge and we are doing all month long. This week we go back to the beginning and revisit Sketch #1, which is also the sketch for FMS100 - how fun is that?

I pulled out MFT Martini Time stamps and dies to get this party started, pairing them with a sentiment from MFT Spirited Sentiments.

The shaker is stamped with Delicata Silver Shimmer ink and tucked slightly behind the Limeade Ice Appletini.

The Clean Team designers have great cards this week and I have to give a big shout-out to Linda Callahan and Jen Mitchell who have been here from the beginning - that's eight years of fabulous design inspiration for us!

I'm also linking this card to Seize the Birthday in the Anything Goes category and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge to Add A Die Cut.

I look forward to seeing your cards in the gallery!

CASology Week 349: GRILL

Welcome to Week 349 at CASology!

Our cue word will have a lot of us in the Northern Hemisphere thinking about outdoor cooking, but as I was interrogating one of the kids about where they had been, a different idea took hold and led to this card.

I pieced together stamps from three different sets and kind of love the way this came together. The Maya Road Eureka light bulb is selectively stamp and heat embossed first and then the Avery Elle Bunting string added. The MFT Friend Request sentiment is stamped after the Lemonade Squeeze and Mustard Seed Distress Inks are blended with my new Taylored Expressions Blender Brush.

The design team, including newest member Milka, have fabulous cards this week!
