CASology Challenge #377

 Welcome to CASology Challenge #377!

I love the color explosion of a great sunset and have been hoping for years to see the green flash that is present about ten minutes before the sun goes over the horizon. I hadn't heard of this phenomenon before living in San Diego, but our vast uninterrupted ocean horizon apparently makes it more common to see.

A circle of Mustard Seed Distress Ink is blended on a very light gray panel, before a bit of Marmalade Spice Distress Ink is added to the top portion and the Simon Says Stamp All Seasons Tree die cut is adhered over it.

As you can see, most of the leaves are not adhered to the panel, adding a bit of dimension and interest to the design. The Altenew Thinking of You sentiment finishes the card.

The design team has terrific cards to inspire you!

We are looking forward to seeing how SUNSET inspires you - just remember to keep it Clean & Simple! This is a two  week challenge, so you have until 9 AM Monday, November 9th (CMT) to link your card to the CASology blog.

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. This is just gorgeous, I love it. I have never heard of the green flash at sunset so it must be very special to see xx

  2. Gorgeous! I had not heard of the "green explosion", but it sounds beautiful

  3. I have never heard of this green flash either-do let me know if you see it and catch a photo! I love the warmth of this card. And superb idea to raise some of the branches x

  4. So clever to leave the branches standing out and you chose the perfect placement and colors for sunset through the silhouette. Love it!

It makes my day when you take time to comment - thank you!
