CASology Week 252: INSECT

Welcome to Week 252 at CASology!

There was something about the layered insects in the Stampin' Up Beetles and Bugs stamp set that appealed to me immediately and, of course, I knew it was coming out to play as soon as I saw the cue card for this week.

The biggest challenge was deciding which bugs to use and in the end three medium sized were alternated with a couple of the smaller insects. The first layers were inked in black directly onto the card base, then the layers added with PTI Limeade Ice and Hawaiian Shores inks. The sentiment comes from an older Taylored Expressions stamp set, Wheely Great.

Check out the Design Team cards for more terrific ideas!

  1. I'll be the first to admit that 'insects' aren't my favorite creatures. Some really creep me out, and others don't bother me one bit. I like your card, as they're nicely lined-up, and are in really pretty colors. Maybe I'll give this challenge a shot and work on overcoming my slight fear of them. Your card is wonderful. Bev
