CASology Challenge #391

Welcome to CASology Challenge #391!

I have a card for the mid-challenge reminder post for the PHOTO challenge at CASology. This really is a wide open challenge that includes everything from using a photo type frame or film strip or creating a photo worthy scene or commemorating a photo worthy event.

I can't resist an opportunity to use these sweet MFT Cute Cameras dies, so went with what you use to take a photo.

Three of the cameras are cut twice for this super CAS design, with the bodies adding a fun pop of color and the details highlighted in black. A simple Technique Tuesday Ali Edwards sentiment is stamped before the dies adhered and the completed panel is popped up on the card base.

The design team has terrific cards to inspire you!

Freshly Made Sketches #487

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches #487!

I love the layered panels in Jennifer Timko's fabulous sketch! I took advantage of the slimline length to join two Spellbinders Birds on a Wire dies and color them in a rainbow.

Simple MFT Brushstroke Greetings dies finish the card.

Freshly Made Sketches #486

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches #486!

I have the privilege of creating the sketch this week and went with one of my favorite design elements: a simple curved edge. For full disclosure, my sketch was heavily influenced by the Poppystamps Tall Curve Border die that has been sitting on my desk for a while.

Both the curved edge panel and PTI Christmas Cheer sentiment are cut from shimmer cardstock. The Poppystamps Tall Border Snowflake die and a few smaller snowflakes are cut from Lawn Fawn Sparkle Pixie Dust paper.

The border dies are layered and popped up on a white panel before the sentiment is placed. The shimmer and sparkle are so pretty in real life and so hard to capture in a photo.

I am so excited to see how you use the sketch and whether you go big or small with your sentiments this week! Check out the fabulous Clean Team designs at Freshly Made Sketches and play along with us this week.
