CASology Week 289: FIT

Welcome to Week 289 at CASology!

I have to admit this cue word had me stumped for a bit, so I did what I often do when stumped and spent some time tidying my desk. I discovered this Concord & 9th flower die cut and had a lightbulb moment. FIT could be fitting in the pieces of an inlaid die cut.

Four small stitched squares were die cut and adhered to a scrap of computer paper to form a larger square. The flower die was placed in the center of this square, cut and removed carefully to make sure none of the little pieces are lost. For a little extra texture, the colored panel is embossed with dots before being placed on a second square than was run through a Xyron to cover it with adhesive. The Xyron adhesive made it easy to inset the flower and small pieces of the die cut.

The design team has terrific ideas to inspire you!

  1. That word stumps me too. Jacquie. I love your choice of colors. It was funny to hear you say you used your Xyron. It's been one of my go to tools lately too after having neglected them for a long time.
