Papertrey Ink 6th Anniversary Challenges

There is a lot of celebrating going on over at Nichole Heady's blog in honor of Papertrey Ink's 6th Anniversary. You really need to head over to Capture the Moment for all the details, especially since today Nichole is highlighting the 2013 Designers and offering a free printable!

No celebration is complete without a challenge, so I have taken Dawn McVey's free printable and used it to make this card.

Yesterday Nichole introduced the 2013 Design Team and each Design Team member highlighted six of their favorite cards from the past year. Again, there is a challenge to create a card inspired by one of those hightlighted.

I plan to make a few cards, but once again, went with Dawn McVey and this card.

I was surprised to discover I don't own the stamp set Dawn used (it is now on my official wish list), but had a few appropriate sentiments to choose from in the Hello Sunshine set.

I did veer off a bit from Dawn's design, but there is no question where the inspiration came from.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie

  1. Oh, two great cards! I love how you paired Dawn's graphic with the hawaiian shores-- mine didn't print out quite the right colour. And your card inspired by hers is fabulous, too!

  2. Jacquie - beautiful cards my dear! I love the one with the rainbow that you chose to case! I need to ink that set up as it is sitting unloved on my shelf! Love the rainbow of colors!!!

  4. Your PTI challenge cards are both wonderful. I had pinned that same card of Dawn's to case--just didn't get the time, yet. And, your card with the digi image--so Dawn!
