MFW Tuesday Trigger: Cross My Heart

Oh my, Cath at Moxie Fab World has done it again. Just look at the photo she inspired us this week for the Tuesday Trigger.

I need to stop looking, because these triggers distract me from my "to do" list. A quick check through my alphabet stamps found one that I thought would work to mimic the painted cross stitch on the pillow. This might just be one of the first alphabets I bought - Hero Arts Pixie Letters on the long wood pegs.

I inked the stamp with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink and created the color variation by randomly stamping off before re-inking. It has been a long time since I tried to line up Alpha stamps mounted on a wood peg!

The flowers and pearls are from my stash, the blue paper is Authentique and the sentiment from Technique Tuesday.

The Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week is Have a Heart, so I am linking this card over there too!

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. What a sweet little heart made up of "x's"!

  2. I am in awe that you got those Xs to line up! You have steady nerves, my friend! You may need them. hee hee Have fun this to you on the flip side!

  3. Great use of an alphabet stamp to make your own heart!
Thanks for pointing out the linking error on my card too.

  4. Very cute. Looks like a cross stitched heart.

  5. Beautiful card!! Love the "cross stitched" heart!! So pretty!!

Thank you very much for joining us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog!
