MFTWSC109 + Simon Says

I've been sorting through some of my 6x6 paper pads this week, trying to decide whether to let a few go or keep them around a little longer. I'm still on the fence, but was inspired to use paper from two different My Mind's Eye pads (The Sweetest Thing Bluebell and Indie Chic Nutmeg) for the My Favorite Things Weekly Stamp Club sketch. You can find the details of the challenge over at the MFT Forum at Splitcoast Stampers.

Maybe it was just a need to get away from the pink & reds that have appeared a lot lately, but I went back to blues and yellows for this card.

The sentiment is from the You Make My Day set and stamped on a die-cut fishtail flag panel with a metal butterfly sticker from my stash to finish it off.

I cut three strips of the Die-namics Squiggle border and mounted two below the sentiment panel and one above.

I love the way they nestle into each other and just noticed the blue pattern is upside down. As  knitter, I should know better LOL.

I would fix it, and maybe add a few more embellishments, but time is not my friend this week, so I am happy just to get a card done with the sketch.

Since Anything Goes over at Simon Say Stamp this week, I am also linking up to their challenge.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie

  1. Sweet! Love how you put one border in front and behind the sentiment.

  2. You're so right, those banners nestled in with each other are so attractive! If you had the tine it would be fun to do a whole card like that!
