MFT Guest Designer Challenge Take Two: More Chalkboard

I have been busy cleaning out the office and organizing/purging some of my crafty supplies. I love rediscovering stamps I'd forgotten about and found a few that I think will work really well with the chalkboard technique.

Somehow, cleaning & purging was replaced with stamping & cutting for the thirty minutes it took to put this card together.

Once again, I used this sketch from the My Favorite Things Guest Designer Challenge. You can read the details of this is a fun challenge that offers an exciting opportunity over here at the Splitcoast Stampers MFT Forum.

The Chalkboard Technique is also being featured this week as the SCS Try A New Technique Challenge.

For my card, I used the die from Vertical Greetings with a sentiment from Vertical Greetings II. The small heart stamp is from Let's Toast and the larger heart stamp is from Game Night.

After stamping & embossing, I smudged white ink "chalk dust" on the panel and then outlined the hearts and word "life" with a pink Prisma pencil.

My Die-namics Fishtail Flags & Layers came out once again, along with the Die-namics Dainty Dots border.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie

  1. I can't believe you made this card in 30 minutes. I'm stuck at that. It's absolutely perfect. You have the right balance of everything on your chalkboard. How fun to find stamps while you are organizing.
