welcome, welcome

If you have come here today through Gloria Stengel's blog Scraps of Life, welcome and thanks for taking the time to look at what I am doing.

If you wandered over to check out something I have posted in the gallery at Splitcoast Stampers or linked to Papertrey Ink's MIM, again, thank you for taking the time and please take a look around.

I recently started blogging to share my creations with others who are as passionate (obessed?) with papercrafting as I am. There is an incredible amount of inspiration and creative energy in the online blogging/crafting world and I am thrilled to be a tiny part of it, participating in challenges and pushing myself to try new things.

I adore the à la Mode stamp set The Rainbow Will Come from My Favorite Things, and couldn't resist creating a cheerful set of rain gear. This is one of my first attempts at paper piecing.

Growing up in southern BC and living in the Pacific Northwest has given me a true appreciation for good rainwear - I would have loved a bright, cheery set like this!

Glossy Accents on the jacket and boots give a shiny, slicker effect.

Here in southern California, the Mamas & Papas were right, it never rains, "it pours, man, it pours"!

Gloria has included a few other friends in her blog referrals today - please take a moment to check them out too!

If you didn't head here through Scraps of Life, do yourself a favor and check out Gloria's blog first! Gloria's list of Design Teams and publications is long and well-deserved and being her friend means I can see her amazing projects in real life.

Thanks for stopping by . . . I hope to see you again,

Jacquie
