Freshly Made Sketches #524

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches #524!

I was inspired by both the sketch and designer Cécile Ribon's elegant use of threads and stitching on her cards for my design this week.

A simple heart is cross-stitched on a scrap of Aida cloth first. Before it is stitched to the panel, the Paper Rose Designs Knit Happens sentiment is heat embossed on the panel.

The center of the Aida piece is adhered to the panel and a few guide holes punched to keep the stitching neat and tidy.

Check out the fabulous Clean Team cards at Freshly Made Sketches and play along with us this week!

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie

  1. Wow! Your awesome take on the sketch has my heart, Jacquie! We might had a mind connection while we created our cards since we went the same direction.

  4. Love the cross-stitched heart on this card. I did that years ago when my eyes were better. It was fun to make and to give. Enjoy your day, Jacque!

  6. I absolutely love this!!! The stitched heart is wonderful - but even cuter with the way you stitched it on. And all so perfect with the sentiment!
