CTS #180 + ATCAS #92: Stripes + HLS July Anything Goes with Dies

A couple of weeks ago I was one of the lucky winners of blog candy during the Paper Players 300th challenge celebration and included in the wonderful package that arrived from Colleen was a sweet Hero Arts ice cream die. It didn't take me long to start playing with it and I have a few different flavors of cones sitting on my desk waiting to be used.

CAS(E) This Sketch! 180, Happy Little Stampers July Anything Goes With Dies and Addicted to CAS #92 Stripes all helped me with the design decisions for this card.

An ancient open circle border die created the stripes on either side of the Avery Elle stamp for a sentiment panel. The ice cream cone is embossed with a Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder and the ice cream edged with confetti stars before being popped up over the sentiment banner.

I was thinking of this as a strawberry or maybe cherry ice cream cone, but my daughter informed a pink this bright could only be bubbblegum flavored.

  3. Great idea to use the border die in white to not distract from the main event - the ice cream cone, complete with sprinkles. Fun card, Jacquie.
