Papertrey Ink November 2018 Blog Hop + 25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 16 & 23

As soon as I saw the inspiration photo for the Papertrey Ink November 2018 Blog Hop, I knew I'd find the time to play along.

I've also been playing along with Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags and decided to combine my Blog Hop entry with a tags inspired by Joyce Mehrberg on Day 23.

A pair of red and white PTI Made with Love Tags 3 are prepared first and a Silver White Winters snowflake die cut from a white tag and adhered to a red tag. The two snowflake tags are then stamped with a Holiday Cheer sentiment and tied with black twine.

A Baker's Twine bow is tied on the snowflake negative tag and it is adhered to a card base.

For Day 16, I was also inspired by Joyce, although I went with a white & blue color palette. The PTI base tag is inked in a soft blue and the tree line tag adhered after the PTI Traveler's Journal: December Typed Words sentiment is stamped. An Ellen Hutson skier finishes off this tag.

I hope you get a chance to check out the galleries of both the Blog Hop and 25 Days of Christmas Tags challenges!

Jacquie

25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 17, 18 and 19

I have another trio of tags to share for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2018 challenge. All the details can be found at In My Creative Opinion.

For Day 17, Carol Mayne's whimsical trees prompted me to pull out a rarely used wood mounted stamp from Savvy.

I also pulled out my rarely used Brillance inks for a little shimmer. The sentiments are from PTI Traveler's Journal December Typed Words.

For Day 18,  I was inpsired by Kay Miller's red and aqua colored snowman tag.

I stamped the snowman and sign onto a white panel and then die cut the image to fit in the center of an aqua tag. The snow and trim on the hat have a little added sparkle thanks to Wink of Stella.

For Day 19,  it is the stitched tree on Melinda Spinks's tag that caught my eye.

Stitched line dies were used to cut the edges of the tree first and then the tag was embossed with the falling snowflakes. Gold thread was stitched through the holes to great the tree. A simple heat embossed MFT Snow Globe sentiment finishes this tag.

CASology Week 322: GIRL

Welcome to Week 322 at CASology!

Whether it is a sentiment, image, color or event that inspires you, the gallery should be full of fun cards this week!

I was thinking of making a baby girl card until a quick search of my Evernote inventory brought up this sentiment and I knew I had to use it.

The trio of martini glasses are stamped in a soft pink first and then the sentiment added. My stamp platform was invaluable in lining everything up and allowing the sentiment to be stamped in two colors.

The design team has fabulous cards this week!

Muse #291 + 25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 12, 13 and15

I have three tags to share inspired by Muse #291 and 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

Tracey's Muse tag is also featured on Day 12, and the inspiration for my first tag.

The MFT bears are stamped and masked so the Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks can be blended and splattered. I'm in love with this sky color!

A few soft Copic colors and Mama Elephant sentiment finish this tag off quickly.

For Day 13, it is Teri Anderson's peppermint drink that inspired me to pull out a coffee cup die and embossing folder.

A Hero Arts sentiment is stamped on the Memory Box die making this a super quick and simple tag.

For Day 15, Monica Taylor's stag head and use of patterned paper caught my eye.

I cut my stag head from patterned paper, taking care to line up the nose with a red flower. Keeping this one super simple, I stamped "to" and "from" on the back and left the front without a sentiment.

Freshly Made Sketches #363 & 25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 10

I have a card and tag to share today. The card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #363.

The Memory Box Sparkling Tree Tile die is cut out of the panel and a MFT Snow Globe Sentiment added below.

This panel is popped up over a slightly smaller inked panel, a strip of glitter tape is added to the card base and then the panel adhered to the card base.

For Day 10 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags challenge it is Tracey's shaker tag that inspired my to make my own.

The MFT Rectangle Shaker dies, Studio Katia houses, Copic markers, glass beads and glitter are used to create this little scene.

25 Days of Christmas Tags: Day 11, 12 & 14

I'm almost caught up with Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags with three more to share today. You can get all the challenge details at In My Creative Opinion.

For Day 11,  I was inspired by one of Joyce Mehrberg's tags.

I used the same colors as Joyce, reversing the tag and poinsettia colors. The "o" from the MFT sentiment is replaced with a Poppystamps Small Blooming Poinsettia die cut.

For Day 12,  Joyce is once again the inspiration with her sweet, CAS tags.

Lawn Fawn Simple Celebrate Winter provides the images and sentiment for this Copic colored pair of tags.

For Day 14,  Natasha Kara's tag had me reaching for my Rubbernecker Watercolor Candle stamp.

After the image and a MFT Snow Globe sentiment are heat embossed on the tag, Zig Real Brush markers are used to color the image.

This tag is also being linked to the Muse: Christmas Visions #113 challenge.

25 Days of Christmas Tags: Days 2, 4 and 7

I'm still catching up on Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags and have a trio of designs to share today.

For Day 2, I was smitten with Kymona Tracey's charm embellished watercolored tags.

A trio of PTI Folded Tags are watercolored with Zig Real Brush markers before the Mama Elephant Jingle Greetings sentiments added. Each tag has a snowflake charm and jingle bell added to their twine ties.

For Day 4, Design Team member Carole Mayne inspired me with her layered tags.

The MFT Tag Builder Blueprints and Gift Tag Greetings are used to create this trio of tags in white. black and kraft combinations.

The tags are stacked so the second sentiment is hidden.

For Day 7, I was inspired Tracey's layered ornament tag.

Once again, Design Team member Joyce came to the rescue and I borrowed her Birch Press Design Caprice Heart Layer dies to cut the layers in Christmas colors.

A MFT Jingle All the Way heat embossed sentiment and white silk ribbon finish off this tag.

CASology Week 321: GLASS

Welcome to Week 321 at CASology!

From ornaments to a celebratory drink, there are many different directions and types of cards to make with our cue word this week. I decided to make a snow globe card to add to the Christmas card stack.

A circle is cut from a white panel, covered with a transparency and framed with a MFT Circle Shaker die cut. Using the panel cut out as a guide, the Lawn Fawn Ready, Set, Snow image is stamped on the card base, colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a Viva Pearl Pen. A fun foam MFT Circle Shaker frame is adhered to the card base and filled with coarse glitter before the top panel is added to create the shaker.

The design team has a great selection of cards!
