Make It Monday - Creating Focal Point Sentiments

Betsy Veldman has a nice video tutorial for using stamps and dies to make focal point sentiments over at Nichole Heady's blog for Papertrey Ink this week. Click here to see it and join in the challenge.

For my card, I used one of the sentiment stamps from Happiest of Holidays - you can see the full stamp on this tag I made for the October PTI Blog Hop.

First the white panel was die cut with a PTI Edgers #2 die and then the stamp was masked so only "holiday season" and the flourish below it were inked with Memento Espresso Truffle. The stamp was masked again, this time with just "wishing you a" being inked and stamped.

The word "cozy" was die cut from My Mind's Eye patterned paper and adhered between the sentiments. All the edges were inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and the sentiment panel layered on another piece of designer paper.

A strip of aqua ribbon was layered with a white fiber trim to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie

  6. Great job using just part of the main sentiment stamp ... I passed on those because I didn't know how I could make it all work. Should have checked your blog earlier : )
