Twofer: Harvest + Muse #286 + CTD514 + Seize the Birthday AND MCV#110

I have three cards to share today. The first two were inspired by the Twofer Card Challenge #10: Harvest Challenge.

It is easy to see the Harvest connection with my sympathy card using the fall colors on the leaves. The lily on the birthday card is a bit more of a reach as I thought of planting fall bulbs to harvest spring and summer flowers.

Mama Elephant Freestyle Floral images and PTI Penned Elegance stamps are used on both cards.

Tracey's Muse #286 card inspired the rectangular wreath of leaves and buds. Copic markers in the Color Throwdown #514 colors filled in the sketchy shapes.

The sentiment is positioned first on the birthday card and then the floral images stamped and masked before being colored with Copic markers. The finished panel is popped up on a purple card base.

This card is being linked to Seize the Birthday where Anything Goes for the current challenge.

My third card is inspired by Cornelia's starry night for Muse ChristmasVisions #110, using the inked sky, trees and sentiment.

The Poppystamps Open Hillside and Snowscape dies are layered for this card. The sky piece of the Snowscape is inked with Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks before being adhered to the card base and the snowflakes inset back in place.

The PTI sentiment is stamped on the Open Hillside die cut before it is layered on the card base.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Great minds think alike, Jacquie ! These two challenges were very inspiring and you made two gorgeous cards. Love your sympathy card with the rectangular wreath, CAS as usual. And what a great idea to use the same leaves to pop up the beautiful lily on the birthday card ! But you stolen my heart with your third card...a stunning beauty ! The sentiment is just the perfect one for this peaceful project. LOVE it. Thanks for sharing and for inspiring.

  5. Both of your cards are truly lovely, Jacquie. Your sympathy card is serene, and very appropriate for this time of year (if one may say that...). And how clever is the planting of bulbs for a future harvest idea! Your coloring is beautifully done, too! Thanks for joining us at the Twofer Challenge, Jacquie! (Gorgeous snowfall card, too!) Bev

  7. Swooning over those big snowflakes. Amazing, you fiddled them all back in! and the Twofer cards - I would have never guess you used the same stamps....hopefully I find a few minutes to play along, too... So sorry for the late visit, but my life is crazy right now. Thanks for playing along with me at MCV!

  8. You've made three stunning designs, Jacquie, and I'm loving them all! Your Twofer cards reflect the challenge so beautifully in terms of stretching our design skills! I love your leaves for fall and the whole idea of a rectangle wreath! Why not?! It's gorgeous! And your purple flower arrangement is sensational for this time of year, made even richer by that dark purple card base! I'm also loving your pretty winter scene with the snowy night sky!! Thank you so much for playing with us in Twofer Card Challenge #10! Hugs, Darnell
