World Card Making Day and Make It Monday #85 Glittered Tags

Happy World Card Making Day!

I wish I could declare a vacation from real life and hide away crafting all day, but the soccer field and family obligations are going to pull me away.

I managed to get an early morning card done today based on Dawn McVey's Make It Monday #85 Glittered Tabs challenge. As you can see, I used the Santa image from PTI's Santa Stationery stamp set and decided the outside of the card did not need any further sentiment.

I used one of the PTI Half & Half dies to make the tab that runs under my stamped image. My technique for adhering the glitter is a little different than Dawn's. I used a piece of double sided adhesive and trimmed it to the shape of the tab. The Martha Stewart Crystal Coarse Glitter is then sprinkled and pressed into the adhesive.

The papers and twine are from the My Mind's Eye All is Bright collection and the bells are from my stash.

Our infamous marine layer was making it difficult to get good light this morning - one minute the sun peeped through and then it was gone.

You can see here that glossy accents was smeared over Santa's beard and eyebrows so I could add a little more glitter and a Viva Ice White Pearl Pen added dimension and color to the fur on Santa's hat.

I am also entering this card at the World Card Making Day Christmas challenge at Moxie Fab World.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie
