The MFT umbrella die came in very handy to make a mask while I colored the sand and sea/sky background. Once that was dry, the umbrella panels die allowed me to create a combination mask and stencil to keep the panel colors from running into each other.
A sentiment from Paper Smooches Get Out Of Town stamp set provides the perfect finish. I hope this design fits the Clean and Simple category.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful watercolor effect...love your idea to use the die as a stencil...wishing I had that die right about now too!
ReplyDeleteStunning water coloring! The extra time it took stencilling & masking & waiting for the paint to dry was WELL worth the effort - the end result is beautiful! Your gorgeous beach scene has me yearning for sun & warmth as I gaze out into our still snow covered back yard! Thanks for sharing your card with us at the Card Concept Challenge and for bringing some beach scene warmth into my craft room!
