Merry Monday #91 + Muse #50 + Simon Says & MIM#148 Fail

I have a couple of cards to share today. This first one combines the Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #91 with the Muse Challenge #50 and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday blog challenge to Emboss It.

Therese Calvird's Muse card inspired me to mask and color my quartet of Paper Smooches snowmen. This panel is then mounted on another panel embossed to mimic snow drifts.

A little sheer ribbon and a dangling metal snowflake finish the card off.

This next card started off with my attempt to play along with PTI's Make It Monday #148: Generation Stamping with Line Images & Multiple Colors (you can see Dawn's tutorial here). I really don't have many Line Image stamps, but played around with Reason to Smile to see what I could come up with.

I really like the card overall, but hated the stamped flowers, so today I pulled off that panel and made a new one.

This one will be linked to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog where Anything Goes this week.

  1. Great cards! I particularly like the snowman one, I love lots of white space on a card. Thanks for joining us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

  2. All three are great. Such a cute scene of snowmen. Isn't it refreshing to think about snowmen when it is so hot out? I have to admit that I like your 3rd card a bit better than the second. I am a fan of clean stamping--not sure I will attempt this week's MIM.

  3. Adorable 3, Jacquie! The snowmen are personality plus! Had a hard time with this week's MIM. Couldn't seem to get the card in focus. Your last card is just so much more pleasing to the eye!

  4. Your snowman card is adorable and I love how you made it so CAS! And I struggled too with this weeks MIM until I realized there were a few line images in the "Beautiful Blooms set...this technique just does not work without a line image! And if you don't have any........ But anyway, your last card turned out beautiful and has inspired me to get my set out and work with it again...thank you! :0)

  12. Love that happy little gang of snowmen and that cool embossing on the blue panel! And I do like your second card better. I'm not so sure about that generation line stamping - kind of makes my eyes go blurry! :P

  18. Fabulous snowman card - great take on Therese's card! I I agree the 2nd version of flower card is best - in fact it's gorgeous! The mim method is a bit tricky this week - I'm not sure I like the out of focus look.
