Sweet 16

I'm taking a 10 minute break to quickly post another card I made for my daughter's birthday.  One of my all time favorite cards is this one I made for my dad's birthday last year.

This 16th birthday card was made about a month or so after my dad's card and I was thinking my daughter might use it for one of her friends, but then I liked it too much and decided to put it aside for her birthday this year.

My dear daughter has always had a thing for cars. She was not interested in dressing or accessorizing her Barbies or Polly Pockets, only in collecting vehicles for them to drive. Somewhere I have documented her massive vehicle collection but if memory serves me correctly, we whittled the fleet from 34 to 17 when making the move from Washington to California a few years ago.

Bright & early tomorrow morning she will be in her first Driver's Ed class and a new chapter begins.

It is going to be a crazy weekend for us with her party tonight and Greek Easter on Sunday.

Hope you all have great weekend plans.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie

  1. What an awesome card for a 16 year old. Sounds like your daughter has cars on the brain, and will likely be driving soon? The maps and car paper are just perfect together. And, happy Easter!

  2. Oh now that is creative. It's a great take on the one you made for Christmas a while ago with the banners...or was that just last year? Anyway, LOVE it.
