CASology Week 284: LATE

Welcome to Week 284 at CASology!

Are you a fan of letterboards? I'm a longtime fan going back to my kids' elementary school days when I volunteered to maintain the school readerboard. I'd managed to resist buying one until faced with them at a Christmas craft show and now all members of the family are having fun with it.

It is my letterboard that inspired this birthday card for the cue word LATE. As soon as I saw the word, my mind went to "oops, I did it again" and I just couldn't shake the sentiment for a belated birthday card.  I'm so sorry if you now hear Britney Spears singing in your head.

A black panel was scored at 1/4" intervals to replicate the felt panel of a letterboard and MFT High-rise and Little Letters die cut to create the sentiment. An MFT frame die cut first perfectly over the panel to finish the card.

I hope you saw Melissa's post announcing the three new design team members. Karen Haman is posting a card this week and Kevin Bray and Bharati Nayuda will join us with their first cards next week!

We are looking forward to seeing how LATE inspires you - just remember to keep it Clean & Simple! You have until 9 AM Monday (CMT) to link your card to the CASology blog (please note, the deadline has moved up a couple of hours!).

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie
