CASology Week 191: Washi

Welcome to Week 191 at the CASology Challenge!

The word to inspire you this week is WASHI. I love how a simple strip of washi tape can add a bit of pattern or color to a card. I decided to play around with some of the unique properties of this tape and came up with a camouflaged die cut technique.

The Avery Elle Thank You is die cut from white card stock and adhered to the card base. Strips of washi tape were adhered on a diagonal line, starting in the center and working on either side until the whole die cut is covered.

An embossing stylus is gently run along the edges of the die cut to adhere the washi to the sides and centers of the word. It was fun to see how clearly the word is outlined.

For more inspiration, check out the fabulous Design Team cards.

We are looking forward to seeing how you use washi tape on your cards this week. As always, remember to keep it Clean & Simple! You have until Monday at noon (CMT) to link your card to the CASology blog.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jacquie
