It is time for a new Cue Card for Week 180 at the CASology challenge blog.

There are so many ways to interpret the word open and I went with the idea of opening a box. I'm a little gifted out with Christmas and my birthday, so decided to do something I hadn't done in a while and make a "welcome to the neighborhood" card.

The Neat & Tangled Box die is used to create a moving box, a Papertrey Ink Daily Designs sentiment is stamped and heat embossed on a chartreuse banner and a little aqua tissue paper peeks out of the box. I will admit I've never packed up household goods in pretty tissue papers, but I wanted another pop of color on the card so exercised my creative right.

The clean lines and simple images keep this card CAS.

Jacquie Southas (you are here)

Guest Designer: Rachel

You have until Monday at noon (CMT) to link your card to the CASology blog for a chance to win a class from this week's sponsor, Craft Classes Online.

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. Very creative :) love how you did the tissue !

  2. Clever - even though it's big, you've kept it very CAS!

  3. This is the prettiest packing box I've ever seen, Jacquie!! Clearly perfect for the cue!

  4. I love that die! The last time I moved, I did end up using all the tissue paper in my stash, so some of my packing looked almost this pretty, lol!! Love the clean lines and the pretty colors of your design. Fun card!! Bev

  5. I love your brilliant take on the cue word, Jacquie! That box die is so much fun and is brilliant for a new neighbor card. Love the aqua tissue paper too. Maybe packing up and moving wouldn't be so bad if there were more fun colours involved in it. :)

  6. Unique card. Love the box die. The tissue is the perfect embellishment.

  7. Yet another die I need to get Jacquie! So cute!

  8. This is fantastic. Love that box (always wanted the die) and the tissue coming out of it is such fun. Makes me wonder what sort of goodies might be in the box.

  9. great !!!

  10. Oh, I LOVE this card so much, Jacquie!!! Love the addition of teal tissue paper. Makes unpacking look so sophisticated and exciting! I would be so chuffed if a neighbour gave me this card as a new neighbour!!

  11. What a fun card Jacquie! Love this!

  12. Let me start by saying how much I hate moving, but... a card like this would make it absolutely bearable to me! Awesome take on the cue!

It makes my day when you take time to comment - thank you!
