Moxie Fab World has extended a couple of challenges, which made me very happy because I have had an idea ever since I saw the Gingham Challenge, but just haven't had the time to put a card together.
Then, when I saw this sketch on the Make It Monday challenge at Papertrey Ink it was just a matter of precision cutting my paper.
So, have I successfully incorporated gingham in an innovative way?
Let's just say I love gingham so much that I have the Gingham Signature Collection paper pad from Creative Imaginations.
The "you" is also cut from a black/grey gingham, but almost impossible to tell with the thin font. This die is from PTI's Wonderful Words die collection and the "thank" is from the PTI Daily Designs Sentiments stamp set (the "s" was masked out).
Did you notice the really brave thing I did? LOL I held my breath and stamped the "thank" right onto the card front - something I rarely do, because it rarely works for me.
I have a bag of black gingham ribbon strips - I'm thinking this collection goes way back to CKU Vancouver, where I was a Teacher's Assistant for a day. Teacher's did not want to ship product home at the end of the event, so I was given a box load of product like this ribbon, a 6 years supply of glue dots, glitter, brads, etc.
I'm pretty proud of this little bow. A friend turned me onto the Bow-Easy available from Really Reasonable Ribbon and I am no longer fumbling & fighting the ribbon to make bows.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jacquie
