Freshly Made Sketches #496

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches #496!

Designer Judy Rozema has given us a fun trio of panels to work with in the sketch this week. When going through a bin of paper recently I came across these three outdoorsy designs. They were loose, so I don't know who the manufacturer is, but the patterns reminded me of my sister's new wooded island home.

The papers were cut with MFT stitched panel dies to get the right shape and the large forest panel is adhered with foam adhesive. The MFT Thanks die is cut twice for a little more stability, popped up over the right half of the panel and adhered flat on the left side.

Freshly Made Sketches #495

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches #494!

These sweet Simply Graphic butterfly dies have been sitting on my desk waiting for the right sketch to come along, so thank you Amy!

The dies were cut from a few different papers to add a bit of pattern and texture to the monochromatic butterflies. The third circle on the sketch is represented with a trio of Memory Box Mini Butterflies.

The diagonal panel took me a bit longer to figure out, but once again I went to my favorite cloud stencil to add color and diagonalish lines to the panel. A PTI Penned Elegance sentiment is stamped in the bottom right corner before the butterflies are adhered with glue dots.

Freshly Made Sketches #493

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches #493!

When I saw the diamond trio in Karren's terrific sketch this week I started flipping through my bin of designer papers hoping to find a long lost argyle pattern. I stopped at the Authentique. While not an arglye pattern, I liked the subtle orange and blue diagonal lines and the distressed feel of the solid colors cut with the Spellbinders Diamond die.

The patterned paper is bordered with a thin orange strip before it is added to a pale gray card base. The blue diamonds are adhered to the panel next, then the sentiment strip added to the orange diamond and it is popped up on the center of the two.

Of course, the diamonds in the sketch can be any shape you want to use. Check out the Clean Team designs and play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

CASology Challenge #393: PARK

 Welcome to CASology Challenge #393!

Where do you like to park yourself? I can see comfy chairs, hammocks and beach scenes filling the gallery this month with just the answer to that question. Or maybe you thought about parking a sweet camper or tent image in a design.

I was drawn to this tire swing in the trees image from Concord & 9th City Stacks stamp set to make a park I would love to visit.

The image and sentiment were stamped and heat embossed on a watercolor paper panel before the Zig Real Brush markers were used to add a bit of color. This panel is then popped up on a Sno-Cone card base.

The design team has great inspiration for you this month!
