Freshly Made Sketches #437

Our sketch this week is from the lovely, elegant Cécile Ribon and had me reaching immediately for MFT Abstract Art stamp set and a rainbow selection of inks.

Starting with the green drip of ink in the center, a stamp platform helped to place the other brush strokes evenly across the panel. A Paper Rose Studio Arty Love Creator's Tools sentiment is added at the top and the panel popped up on the card base.

CASology Challenge #369: WIND

I love a cue word that has many meanings as you can see by the variety of images used by the design team! I went with a nautical theme and wind filled sails for my card.

An MFT Stitched Arch die cut opening and All About Dad sentiment prepare the top panel to be popped up over an inked panel. The Wplus9 Dockside sailboat die is the last element added to the design.

The design team really have fabulous takes on the cue word!

Freshly Made Sketches #436

The framed panel in Jen's sketch had me reaching for an MFT Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frames die, The Stamp Market Just Vines die and Taylored Expressions Rosy Posy embossing folder.  The frame is adhered over the embossed panel while I decided which version of the vine to adhere.

After a bit of playing around, a teal vine outline was added first, then the white leaf pieces and finally a second vine outline in green.  An MFT Well Hello sentiment is heat embossed on the teal strip to finish this card.

I hope you check out the terrific Clean Team cards and play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

Freshly Made Sketches #435

I loved the clean lines of Kim's great sketch this week and knew it would be perfect for a Father's Day card. This needs to get in the mail quickly as it took five weeks for my dad's birthday card to arrive last month!?

The Stamp Market Skinny Upper Alphabet die cuts are paired with MFT All About Dad sentiments for this card. The Stamp Market 1/2 inch Quick Strips are a little wider than the sketch to comfortably fit the heat embossed sentiment.

The Clean Team has terrific cards this week. I hope you check them out and join us!

CASology Challenge #368: PLANT

Any plant idea works for this week, but with my husband adding fruit trees and planting away in the vegetable garden, I started thinking about growing pineapples which led to my card design.

The Lawn Fawn Aloha stamp set has a sweet pineapple and perfect sentiment for these Stay Home times where I'm pining away for so many family and friends. The pineapple is stamped, colored with Copic markers and fussy cut before being added to the panel. A trio of enamel dots adds interest as does tilting the panel on the yellow card base.

The design team has fabulous cards this week!

Freshly Made Sketches #434

Do you have favorite dies that you go back to again and again? The Poppystamps Boddington Tree Border die is one of mine. I love it's clean and modern lines and thought it would be a nice fit for this great sketch from Linda Callahan.

A rectangle stencil is used to ink the blue sky and then the green grass panels first before adhering a five tree portion of the die cut. A few of the tree sections are removed to let the blue sky peek through and a Hero Arts To Seize of Not To Seize sentiment added to finish this card.

The Clean Team has terrific designs to inspire you this week! I hope you will play along.
