Welcome to Week 308 at CASology!
I went with a slightly unorthodox idea for our Cue word this week and pulled out a cloud shaped speech bubble to create a steam cloud panel to hold the MFT Perk Up sentiment for this Encouragement/Friendship card.
For added interest, the Memory Box Large Coffee on the Go die is given a patterned paper sleeve and the sentiment stamp is stamped in two colors.
With the Twofer Card Challenge 7 being beverages, I left the coffee cup die out on my desk hoping to come up with another way to use it.
It took a couple of days and a heat wave to realize the upside down cup reminded me of a popsicle. And what is a popsicle if it isn't a frozen beverage?
A watercolor panel is striped with strawberry, orange and lemon flavors and a trio of popsicles cut out. My stamp platform allowed me to stamp the PTI Penned Elegance on each of the die cuts before lining them up and adhering them together.
The card base is inked before the die cuts are popped up with foam tape.
The CASology Design Team has fabulous cards this week!

What clever and colorful cards! So fun!
ReplyDeleteTwo really clever cards, Jacquie! I love your speech bubble cloud on the first one, and your 'upside-down' coffee cups make perfect popsicles!
ReplyDeleteWonderful twofer cards Jacquie!! Your sweet coffee cup with the cloud speech bubble is adorable. Perfect sentiment! And your popsicles are AWESOME! So creative using the coffee cup dies. And perfect for this hot weather! Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteStop it! How right you are, Jacquie! I never would have thought to turn the coffee container into popsicles! They are sensational in their yummy fruity colors! And your conventional coffee-to-go with it's cloud speech and patterned sleeve is fantastic! Great idea to use two colors on the sediment! (Note to self!) Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #7! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteOh these are wonderful, Jacquie! I love that clean look and duo colored sentiment with your steamy cup of joe! Your Popsicles look like they came right out of my freezer. Well, maybe not MY freezer, but more like some super mom on Pinterest's freezer. Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteAs I drink my coffee this just hits the spot!
ReplyDeleteCool take on the cloud challenge, Jacquie - love it!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun, Jacquie! Your cool, crisp ... and almost monochrome coffee card ... is brilliant ... fresh and steamy and delicious! Such a clever idea to use the same image for popsicles ... love the ombré colours ... I can almost feel the frostiness from here! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards! Love the sentiment on the thought bubble! Turning the cup into popsicles is a genius idea! The colors look absolutely yummy with the beautiful blue background!
