The talented Michele Ferguson from I Card Everyone is the Guest Designer for the Muse #91 and she has added a little twist to the challenge this week. We are to take a piece of designer paper and make a set of three cards, each different, but sharing a theme.
Here is Michele's great example.
Instead of working with a single piece of 12x12 designer paper, I pulled out one 6x6 piece of paper from Teresa Collins Christmas Home line, along with another scrap of the same paper for my three cards.
This first one uses the horizontal scrap and set the tone for all three cards when I cut a Rustic Wreath and the Joy word die,
A realized a three inch circle die cut would fit perfectly in the wreath and quickly put together this seond card.
The original plan was to make the third card with a vertical panel, but when I laid the left over piece of designer paper on a card base. I decided to stick with the wreath theme.
A larger circle is cut out of the black panel and the circle is adhered to the card base. The remaining piece frames the designer paper and is popped up over the base. A few Joy die cuts are adhered together to add more dimension to the card.
Here is the finished set of three cards. My favorite is the first one, but my daughter really loves the one with the black panel. I hope you are not getting tired of seeing PTI's Rustic Wreath, I just can't seem to put it away for long right now.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jacquie
The first one is my favorite too! But they all are just fabulous! Love the wreath and the mixed font 'joy' !
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the wreath with pp behind! Pretty cards and gr8 way to use pp.
ReplyDeleteOh Jacquie! This brings me so much JOY, JOY, JOY, JOY down in my heart!! Just gorgeous... I LOve that Teresa C paper... adding it to my list, hope it's available! LOve the black which just makes it pop. The wreath is worth using again, and again, so don't put it away! But PLEASE tell me about the JOY die? I love a girl who uses the negatives, and positives, to good use... thanks so much for playing!!

PS: Congrats on your WCMD win, can't wait to see your card!
Amazing how different each card is even though you used the same dies and paper. I think I might need to order those dies and try them with Christmas paper I've been hoarding. Great work, Jacquie!
