Summer Card Camp Week 2: Day 2 & 4

I have a couple more cards to share from this week's Summer Card Camp 2 tutorials. The first one is based on Week 2 Day 2 Guest Artist Donna Mikasa's card using die cuts and stamps with clear heat embossing.

I used the color palette for this week and based my design on sketch 3.



I love the extra layer of color from clear Versamark ink and clear embossing powder.




My second card is for the Week 2 Day 4 challenge to use a holiday stamp for a non-holiday card. I LOVE this challenge!

I have a couple of other ideas brewing, but this is the first one that came to mind. I paired a Technique Tuesday holiday sentiment with a Memory Box party grill die.



I masked the sentiment to get the two colors and layered a couple cuts of the die.

    The non holiday card is so clever. Really like both of your cards. Need to get that stamp set from PTI from your first card. Love the many uses of that set.

    When I first saw your barbecue image amongst the other cards, I couldn't wait to see how you used it for this challenge. Now that I can read the greeting, I'm truly impressed with your clever use of both--adorable!

    Being from "down under" the BBQ card and greeting work together for both holiday and non-holiday interpretations!! :) Really neat card.

    I love the tis the season card. So clever and funny. I think you should use it for a BBQ invite and invite...well...us....to a BBQ. hee hee
