Freshly Made Sketches #441

Judy has given us a terrific sketch to work with this week! I've challenged myself to use stencils a little more, so was happy to create a rainbow panel with The Stamp Market Hello stencil on this card.

The Stamp Market Chunky Alphabet dies were paired with an MFT Greetings and Salutations sentiment to continue the hello message.

I hope you can play along with us this week!

Freshly Made Sketches #440

Amy's sketch had me looking through a stack of older Spellbinders Labels dies and the dies had me thinking of vintage designs which led to pulling out an older pad of designer paper (Little Yellow Bicycle Vintage Summer) to create this card.

The MFT Well Hello layered sentiment is added to a pretty paper with blue birds and butterflies, which led to a search through my bird dies. The Memory Box Peace Doves pair fit perfectly in the corners where Amy placed the flowers. A scrap of the same blue paper used for the sentiment is inked with Blueprint Distress Ink before the birds are cut.

Freshly Made Sketches #439

I love the tilted panels in Narelle's terrific design for us this week at Freshly Made Sketches. They reminded me of the The Stamp Market Scripty Heart die so I pulled it out while thinking about what kind of card to make.

Two hearts are layered on the heart embossed panel with the top heart popped up on the sides and then the MFT Essential Sentiments heat embossed strip is popped up over them.

Check out the Clean Team cards at Freshly Made Sketches and join in the fun this week!

CASology Challenge #370: FATHER

Both my dad and my husband are DIYers so there was no way I was passing by the Paper Rose Studio Super Trader stamp set when I saw it at an expo last year.

A card doesn't get much simpler than this with the large image stamped in Memento Espresso Truffle ink, the sentiment in a bright poppy red and then the panel cut with an MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle die for interest before being popped up on a white card base.

In fairness to dad, this sentiment would never apply to him, but does work for a card one of our kids can give to my husband for Father's Day.

Check out the design team cards for more ideas!

Freshly Made Sketches #438

As you will see by checking out the Clean Team cards, there are many ways to interpret the striped border panels in Karren's fabulous sketch this week!

I broke up a pretty, bright pink gingham panel with an ancient MFT Squiggle Border die and added them to a white stitched rectangle.

The Hero Arts Ice Cream Cone die set is used to cut a chocolate cone and strawberry sorbet (for those of us living dairy free) with an embossing folder and star confetti sugar adding details. They are popped up on an Avery Elle Rounded Diamond panel and finished with a Lawn Fawn Treat Yourself sentiment.

I hope your are treating yourself to something fun these days and can find the time to play along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
