Freshly Made Sketches #399

Welcome to Freshly Made Sketches!

Clean Team designer, Jennifer Brum, gives us a fun sketch to work with this week at Freshly Made Sketches.

I pulled out a very old MFT set of camera charms, cutting them twice so the gray details could be inset to contrast with the black base. A touch of Glossy Accents on the lenses and simple Lawn Fawn sentiment finish this card.

I hope you check out the fabulous design team cards at Freshly Made Sketches and play along with us!

Freshly Made Sketches #398

Clean Team designer Cécile Ribon's lovely, elegant style shines through in our sketch this week!

The black dashed diagonal line in the background had me thinking of stitching and quilting, which led to the Concord & 9th Flutter die being cut a few times and pieced together.

It took a while to settled on the brick embossed wall background but once I did,  I cut another butterfly in black to layer on top of my original white outline and stand out a bit more from the wall. An Altenew sentiment finishes off my design.

I hope you will join us at Freshly Made Sketches this week! Remember, any shape or image can be substituted for the butterfly.

Freshly Made Sketches #397

It took a bit of thinking and flipping through my stamp sets before settling on an idea for this fabulous sketch from Clean Team designer Kim Singdahlsen. Once I saw the checklist in MFT Perk Up stamp set, I had my trio element and the rest of the design came together pretty quickly.

A gray panel is embossed with the Tim Holtz coffee cups to provide a little extra texture and interest as the Memory Box Coffee On The Go die cut cups were kept clean and simple.

The Clean Team has wonderful inspiration for you this week. I hope you check out their cards and join in the fun with us at Freshly Made Sketches!

CASology Week 348: SHIMMER

Welcome to Week 348 at CASology!

We have a terrific cue word this week! One of my favorite ways to add a bit of shimmer to a design is by using Wink of Stella.

The pretty vase of flowers from Pretty Pink Posh is paired with an MFT Essential sentiment and colored with Copic markers before just a touch of Wink of Stella is added to the vase.

Check out the design team cards and give a special welcome to our newest team member, Nancy!

Freshly Made Sketches #396

Clean Team designer Linda Callahan has given us a fabulous sketch to work with this week!

This card is miles away from where I started the design, but once I had the idea to stitch a frame I couldn't let it go. This MFT Happy Llamadays llama image fit the rustic feel of my stitching. A little selective stamping allowed me to transform it from a Christmas holiday stamp to a birthday image.

The sentiment is masked to remove the "s", heat embossed and the tassel stitches added before it is adhered to the card base.

The Clean Team has terrific ideas this week - check them out and join us over at Freshly Made Sketches!

I'm linking this card to Seize the Birthday! in the Anything Goes category.

Freshly Made Sketches #395

This fun sketch was designed by the talented Jen Mitchell! With a new to me Pretty Pink Posh Spring Wreath stamps sitting on my desk waiting to be inked up, there was no question how I was going to use the circle element of Jen's design.

The stamped, heat embossed and die cut wreath is colored with Copic markers and popped up over the PPP Everyday Greetings sentiment.

The Clean Team has fabulous cards this week! We hope you can join us and play along with Freshly Made Sketches!

CASology Week 347: CITRUS

Welcome to Week 347 at CASology!

I am lucky enough to have a lemon tree in the yard and pretty much add lemon juice or zest to a meal almost every day (lemon potatoes are roasting as I write this). I love to share the harvest with friends and made a card to go with a future gift basket.

The PTI tag and sentiment is finished with a lemon washi tape and nestled between a couple watercolored Memory Box Small Citrus Rounds dies.

Check out the terrific design team cards!
