A watercolor panel is colored with a lime green and aqua Zig markers and the Poppystamps Princess Butterfly die cut first. The white panel is stamped with a MFT Brushed Birthdays sentiment and then the large butterfly adhered just along the center line. Needing a few more butterflies, an ancient Martha Stewart punch came to the rescue.
This card is also being added to Seize the Birthday in the Anything Goes category.
With Twofer challenge to make something entirely different with the butterfly die, I transformed it into angel wings on this second card.
A triangle die from PTI's Hello Sunshine provided the body and a small circle die the head. I am kind of in love with the way this clean and simple card turned out.
All that was needed is a simple sentiment from PTI Merry Christmas mini stamp set embossed with a glitter gold to finish off the design.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jacquie
WOW - your angel butterfly wings is fantastic - love it!!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards ... the Angel card is so creative ... the clean and simple looks are perfect.
ReplyDeleteThis card immediately warmed my heart cuz I love everything angel wings. So clever to use the butterfly for them. Great twofer.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are both beautiful, Jacquie! I love the green and aqua color blend that looks so fresh and spring-like on your birthday card. Your angel looks amazing with the contrast of the simple shapes paired with the intricate lace of the wings! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Jacquie ... both of them! The fresh colours on that filigree butterfly are just delicious ... fabulous with the bold brushed sentiment! Your white on white angel ... beautiful ... wonderfully creative ... and perfect with the simple glittery gold sentiment! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of in love with your sweet angel, too, Jacquie! So much so that I'm going to check my butterfly dies to see if I could use one this way! I love the CASness, of course, and how cleverly you made her with a circle and a triangle die! The gold schparkly sediment really pops against all that white! Your conventional card is equally gorgeous and crisp using my favorite colors and I love how you gave her a little family to fly with her!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #5! Hugs, Darnell
