It has been crazy busy around here as our son pushed through the last few weeks of high school along with starting back working at Legoland for the summer. Yesterday was his graduation and everyone involved was thrilled that the weather forecast for overcast skies held, making it quite pleasant to sit through the outdoor ceremony. Unbelievable that this happened in the blink of an eye.
I'm hoping the change in our schedule will mean I have a little more crafting time like I found today. This card is inspired by Anita's contribution for the Muse #219 challenge.
I was inspired by the coral/black/white color palette, masking and stenciling a fade out background. My changes include clear heat embossing the sentiment and inking the Abandoned Coral Distress Ink around it to make it pop.
The finished panel is matted for a thin black border and adhered to a Berry Sorbet card base.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jacquie
Great pictures !!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your card !
Enjoy the weekend !
I love your take on my design. The sentiment just pops right off the card and I love the stencil you used, making it appear that your flowers are laying on some kind of fabric. And the black frame really pulls it all together. Thanks so much for playing along at Muse this week, Anita x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Jacquie. Congrats to your son on his graduation.
ReplyDeleteJacquie, I saw this on Instagram, too, and I think your son is adorable -- then and now! Congratulations on his graduation from high school. What a busy and exciting time of his life -- and yours! I have two juniors in high school, taking final exams this week, and it's hard to believe that they will be graduating this time next year. They are still my babies! How did it go so fast? Ah, well, such is life. I hope he enjoys the summer and all the destivities that go along with graduation.
ReplyDeleteYour card is beautiful! I love your soft background inking...such a pretty card!
Love your highlighting of the sentiment... great idea!
