Oh dear, after seeing Michele Ferguson's sweet typewriter patterned paper on her card for Muse #137 this week, I might have bored my children with a "back in the olden days" story.
As their eyes rolled back in their heads, I was already on my way to the stack of paper pads where I knew I had at least one with typewriters. The typewriters are definitely the main element I took from Michele's card as I flipped the sentiment to the top, cutting the MFT Hello die from Smoky Shadow cardstock and a grid patterned paper from the same Teresa Collins paper pad that had the typewriters.
It is hard to see in this photo, but the speech bubble is nestled into the patterned paper at the bottom and popped up at the top for a little dimension.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jacquie
Love how you've turned it upside down - your card has great energy, Jacquie! So glad you joined us at Muse this week!
ReplyDeleteI love your typewriters and the message they are sending! "When I took typing..." Yes, I have given my girls those stories too!
ReplyDeleteI think typewriters have been the topic of many conversations lately, Jacquie. Yours are darling and wonderful with the speech bubble.
ReplyDeleteLove how you went with the big hello and also like that grid paper. Great take on Michele's card x
ReplyDeleteJacquie!!! I LOve this flipped upside down card!! YOu know? I think I have that whole T.C. collection and have forgotten it! I think one day the girls will look back a love that, and all of your 'olden days' stories! Thanks so much for playing cards with me this week at Muse, Jacquie!

Love your cute, fun card, Jacquie!!! I can clearly remember the days we used to type on those typewriters - the boys had such a laugh when we discovered one of those old ones at my MIL's place a while ago - they couldn't believe that we used those and they enjoyed playing with it!!!! Those were the days, before computers took the world by storm, hey!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!!!
Your card is fun, Jacquie, Love the big "hello."
ReplyDeleteLove your big hello on that grid pattern bubble speech! I would have loved to have a red typewriter like the ones in you fab background paper!
