Challenge #15 All the Pretty Flowers
This challenge is for all of you flower hoarders! Maybe you hoard pre-made flowers. Maybe you hoard flower punches or dies. Maybe you hoard flower stamps. "Dig" out those flowers and use them on your project!I have my share of flower stamps and dies that see regular use, but my pre-made flower stash definitely needed a little love.
My style tends to lean to Clean and Simple, but that didn't stop me from getting nine flowers on this card.
To keep the clean color palette, all the green leaves were trimmed off the flowers before they were adhered to the black card base in the ombre rows.
The sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Birthday Word Art Clear Stamp Set is stamped and heat embossed on the card base before the flowers were added. Did you check out who designed this stamp set? ;)
I have plans to make a few more of these ombre flower cards in different color palettes.
Head over to the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge blog to see what the Design Team and other Guest Designers have made to inspire you and then start digging through your stash! Gloria always has great sponsors and for this challenge there will be two winners because both Crafty Secrets and Heartfelt Creations have provided prizes.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jacquie
I LOVE THIS!!!!!! It's orderly, which appeals to my silly little brain. And those flowers....full, and in gorgeous colors. I think putting them on a black base was brilliant. Madly in love with this!! Going to check out the challenge right now! Bev
ReplyDeleteJacquie, as always, you take a simple technique and turn it on its head! I love this ombre look. What a great way to use up some of those flowers. It looks so stunning next to the black. And, that sentiment...that's pretty awesome, too, right? hee hee Thanks so much for being one of our amazing guests at Craft Hoarders Anonymous this month!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is soooo very beautiful, Jacquie!!!!! Love those pretty flowers!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!!
This is just gorgeous, Jacquie. Those roses with black are so stunning. It reminds me of my granddaughter's wedding.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful- love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty. The contrast between the black and pink is so striking.
ReplyDeleteHow FABULOUS! I love the way the colors pop off that black background, and the chalkboard stamping is wonderful. So dramatic! I don't know how you managed to fit so many great techniques (ombre, chalkboard, embossing) into one CAS card, but girl, you ROCKED it! Thanks for being our guest designer at Craft Hoarders Anonymous!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these bright flowers on the dark background! Gorgeous!
