An MFT Rectangle Frame is die cut around the Simon Says Stamp sentiment. I played around with a few different ideas for layering the cut stamped panel and, in the end, cut an extra frame and two extra center panels.
This let me step up the stamped pieces ever so slightly. The outside piece is adhered directly to the card base, the frame piece is two layers and the center piece is three layers of cardstock. It gives a subtle bit of dimension and interest to the card.
Speaking of grapes, this is what ours looked like 6 weeks ago and we are eating them as fast as we can right now.
Thanks for stoping by,
Jacquie
What a stunning card. I love all the beautiful purple grapes and your take on the Muse challenge. Your grapes look so good. How fun to grow your own.
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous card Jacquie, love those rectangles, I may just have to do some playing myself. Thanks again for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove your card- the framed effect adds that extra special touch. Those grapes look yummy!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty - love the layering you did.
ReplyDeleteI love the layering - it's subtle, but adds to the overall look! So glad you joined us at Muse this week!
ReplyDeleteA great card! Great layout!
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC photo of your grapes, Jacquie! I love photos of grapes with all their different shades of green (and purples and blues and yellows) and those awesome leaves and tendrils! Your take on the MUSE card is a winner in my book, period! It is such a stunning design with those stepped-up rectangular mats! Genius!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with that stamp set, Jacquie. I was going to use it but went an entirely different way. The layering really makes it special.
ReplyDeleteLove this card, Jacquie! The stamping is simply beautiful, but the way you've created you layers makes this card extraordinary. I think you've got a winner here! And the photo of your grapes is divine. They look so fresh and yummy. Super card. Bev
