I paired this color scheme & sketch:
I paired the Happy One-liner die with a sentiment from Stylish Sentiments: Birthday Stamp Set. Using a little poetic license, the striped element starts with the happy die and continues with the chevron embossing folder.
The Make it Monday challenge is Drop Shadow Die Cuts and I used Betsy's cool technique on this card - love the extra dimension it adds!
This card is also being linked to the Seize the Birthday challenge where the Toppings is to use Chevrons.
This second card is made with one of the free printables from today's challenge.
I took the printable from Heather Nichols and trimmed it along the chevron edge before popping it up over the heart border on a Smoky Shadow card base.
A little glitter is added to the hearts on the printable and the word "love" with a clear Wink of Stella brush.
Thanks for stopping by,
Jacquie
Pretty cards and I love where you put the glitter on the hearts and the word love!!
ReplyDeleteI love the color combo on the first card. I may have to try that one. What a great idea to trim the printable by following the chevron. It changes the entire look of it and makes an outstanding card.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to combine the challenges in the first card and love how you cut the chevron design into a chevron on your second.
ReplyDeleteOh, two more fantastic cards. I especially love how you used that one liner happy with the embossing folder. Great idea.
ReplyDeleteLove the clean crispness of the the first and brilliant idea to cut Heather's download.
ReplyDeleteOMG I cannot believe you were able to pull off so many challenges with this one card and you did it beautifully...WOW I am so impressed, love your "shadow" die cut!! thank you so much for sharing this with us at Seize the Birthday!
