For April, the challenge is to create a card based on this sketch:
I made a couple of birthday cards. The first one uses a few die-namics and a sentiment from the Let's Toast stamp set.
The "happy birthday" sentiment from Let's Toast is one of my favorites - I LOVE this font! The sentiment is stamped on a die cut from Well Worn Sentiments. The Dainty Bow overhanging the gift provides the little corner element on the sketch.
After making this card, I was playing around with the larger bow from Die-namics Dainty Bows and ended up with this nice big white bow that just begged for a Tiffany blue square box to sit on.
A couple of small bow pieces make the flag element in the corner instead of using my fishtail flag dies - I really like that they echo the curve of the lovely, big bow.
Here is another view to give you an idea of the depth and dimension on this card. The Die-namics Dog Tag is used to create the tag with a sentiment borrowed from one of the a la Mode sets. Another couple of Die-namics are used to cut borders and a few "diamond" gems add a bit of sparkle.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog is celebrating their 4th birthday this week and are offering some amazing prizes for linking up Birthday cards, so I am going to add the second card to their challenge.
